4. How do I get there? How long a drive will it be?
Answer: Click on the DIRECTIONS link and follow the instructions. NOTE: I used both Mapquest.com and maps.google.com ... both told me it is 477 miles from my house to Summerton, SC, ...... but ...... google says it will take me 9 hours 57 minutes and mapquest says it will only take 7 hours 32 minutes. Go figure ... that's a 2 1/2 hour diference in the estimate.

5. What is provided in the way of linens, towels, etc.?
Answer: Bed linens are provided by the owner, but towels (beach and bath) are provided by the renter.

6. What about the kitchen?
Answer: There are 2 refrigerators. Basic pots and pans and cooking utinsils are provided, as well as dinnerware. That said, there may not necessarily be enough dinnerware for 14 people at once, so I'm recommending liberal use of paper plates, etc. while we're there. Who wants to be doing dishes non-stop after all? Also condiments may or may not be all that we'll need, e.g. barbecue sauces, steak sauces, Old Bay seasoning, etc. We'll probably want to make a grocery store run the first day.

7. Is there an outdoor grill? I mean surely Randy and Joe (head fishermen) will be bringing in fish by the ton that we'll need to cook.
Answer: There is an outdoor charcoal grill. Whether or not we'll have grill utensils, I don't know. I'll check.

8. What other "house rules" should I know about?
Answer: Glad you asked. Before vacating, renter will be responsible to clean the premises thoroughly, or forfeit the cleaning fee ($150). A clean premises is defined as and includes the following:
1. Clean refrigerator as required. Condiments and other kitchen and cleaning products will be left in the home to be used as needed by the renter. The renter agrees to replace products as they are used and in need of replacement.
2. Empty all garbage and place garbage bags in designated receptacle.
3. Clean stove, range & grill, counter tops, sinks and appliances. Wipe all surfaces so that they are free of grease and food. Dirty dishes are to be placed in the dishwasher and cleaned.
4. Clean all bathrooms, including tubs, toilets, sink, and shower.
5. Vacuum and mop floors.
6. Remove all bed linens, and wash and fold. Leave clean folded linens on the bed from which they were removed. Owner will retain $25 from deposit if linens are not washed and folded.
7. Do not re-arrange furniture. Owner will retain $25 from deposit for moving furniture back.
8. Do not use any house, deck or porch furniture on the beach or near the water. Deposit will be forfeited if house, deck or porch furniture is found to be removed from house.

9. Cool. I see that there is a fire pit out on the beach. Any special rules apply there?
Answer: Prior to establishing a bond fire in the fire pit, renter must contact the Fire Department to report the event. If the Fire Department suggests that conditions are not favorable for a fire the renter agrees to abide by the suggestion. The renter must maintain caution at all times and not leave a fire unsupervised. Renter is responsible to supply their own firewood.
